Luis Jauregui tells us about his new ShowCase

Q: How long has your CarCapsule been in service?|
A: Two months

Q: Which model is it?
A: The ShowCase

Q: What vehicle is in the ShowCase?
A: A 1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk. I grew up in California, and during that time my Dad had it. Later, it was given to me and I did a seven year long restoration with the help of a good friend’s father.

Q: How did you hear about the ShowCase?
A: I moved to North Carolina and didn’t want to bring the car there until I had a way I could keep it protected when it was parked. However, I didn’t want to put a regular car cover on it. Then one of my friends said he got a CarCapsule, so I went and checked it out. I liked it and was planning to get one, but before I did, the ShowCase came out. I was very happy to see the ShowCase and really liked the inflatable structure. It looked easy to use. So, I decided to get the ShowCase instead.

Q: Where and how do you use your ShowCase?
A: I recently got married and between my stuff and my wife’s stuff we had too much stored in the garage to fit the car. I spent a lot of money on the restoration and didn’t want to park it in the driveway. I found a storage unit where I could park it, but didn’t want the car so far away. I got talking to a neighbor and he offered to let me rent space in his garage for cheap. So, the Studebaker is now stored in my neighbor’s garage inside the ShowCase.

Q: What was the main reason you purchased your ShowCase?
A: There is a lot of pollen here in North Carolina and it gets all over everything. I didn’t want it to touch the car. The ShowCase completely encapsulates it from the pollen.

Q: What do you feel the ShowCase best protects against in your situation?
A: It protects against the pollen. I also like how the circulation protects against condensation from humidity.

Q: Do you ever take your ShowCase with, and use it while away from home?
A: No

Q: Have you ever used your ShowCase for another use, besides storing/protecting your vehicle?
A: No

Q: Have you ever had any problems with your ShowCase?
A: No

Q: Overall, how do you feel about your ShowCase?
A: I really like it. It’s simple to install – just lay it out and inflate it. It’s easy to unzip it and drive in, and the side panels unzip so I can easily get to the car doors from the sides. It really does show the car off. I’m very happy the ShowCase was developed.
