The ShowCase Makes a Good Business Case for Storage Facilities

CarCapsule not only offers vehicle owners the ultimate in protection, but also avails a unique business opportunity for vehicle storage facilities. Most premium facilities offer secured, monitored and climate controlled storage, as well as non-mechanical care and delivery services. However, adding a CarCapsule protection option enables a company stand head and shoulders above the competition.

CarSafe Storage in Miami, Florida is a premium auto storage facility that distinguishes itself with superior services and use of the CarCapsule ShowCase. George Amarante, Executive Director of CarSafe, explains how CarCapsule helps his business.

“Our storage facility is climate controlled and air conditioned. We offer our customers storage option packages that include weekly start-up, battery-tire-fluid service, complimentary detailing w/wax, complimentary car covers, written monthly status reports on the customer’s vehicle, and pick up and drop off at the car dealer. One of our premium packages includes storage in a CarCapsule Indoor ShowCase. Offering the ShowCase is a niche for us, no one else around is doing it, and that gives us an edge on the competition. For example, one of our customers has a Ferrari 458, and the Ferrari dealership he leased it from offers storage. He declined because they don’t offer CarCapsule storage.

The ShowCase makes the customer feel their car is even more safe and secure – no one can walk up and touch the car. Our best cars are in ShowCases - ultra-exotic cars with $250,000 plus price tags - Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, McLarens, Aston Martins, and the like.

When touring the facility, we impress potential new customers by taking them by the ShowCase section first. They’re intrigued when they see customers' cars in a ShowCase, and want their car in one too. Also, seeing very expensive cars stored so securely definitely instills customer confidence.

Customers like other benefits the ShowCase offers: It’s very humid in South Florida, and even with air conditioning the relative humidity in the building is around 45-55%. Using a humidity gauge we have found that the Evaporative Storage Technology of the ShowCase reduces humidity within the capsule by 3-4%. To demonstrate the Evaporative Storage Technology we let customers feel the air passing through the ShowCase. Customers also appreciate that while we are extremely careful not to allow door dings or other damage to occur to their vehicle, the ShowCase eliminates that “1% chance” of something happening.

From a revenue standpoint the ShowCase is wonderful. We charge an extra $100 per month for the Showcase. So, we get significantly more revenue per storage space. Of course we have the initial investment in the ShowCase, but after we recoup the purchase price – the added revenue improves our bottom line. In the interim, the ShowCase enables us to provide a service that none of our competition is offering.”
