Allen Hughes has been using a CarCapsule for eleven years. Here is what he has to say about his experience:

Q: How long have has your CarCapsule been in service?
A: I bought it in 2004 and started using it in 2005

Q: Which model do you have?
A: It’s the Indoor CarCapsule

Q: What vehicle is in the capsule?
A: It’s a custom 1962 Nova with a Big Block Chevy. It took me 10 years to build.

Q: How did you hear about CarCapsule?
A: I was at a Good Guys Show and saw one being demonstrated

Q: Where do you use your CarCapsule?
A: I have it set up in my garage and use it in the Fall and the Spring. Otherwise, I fold it up and store it in the original box it came in.

Q: What was the main reason you purchased your CarCapsule?
A: The car was built without a top, and it is rainy and damp where I live, so I needed to keep the moisture out. I needed more than a regular car cover.

Q: Are there any particular situations in which the CarCapsule has been a great help?
A: One time I heard noise in the garage. When I went out to investigate I saw water running down from the ceiling onto the CarCapsule! A pipe had broken in the ceiling! If it weren’t for the CarCapsule the car would have gotten wet inside.

Q: Have you ever had any problems with your CarCapsule?
A: No problems. I’m surprised the fan hasn’t given up with all the use it has seen over the years. It’s like the “Little Engine that could”!

Q: Overall, how do you feel about your CarCapsule?
A: My car cost $100,000 to build and the CarCapsule does a great job of protecting it. As well, the fan helps keep the moisture content down inside. The capsule has been a great investment considering all the use I’ve gotten over the years. Maintenance has been pretty easy too: There is a leak from the underside of the car that dumps a little fluid on the floor of the CarCapsule. Using Simple Green and a rag it cleans up marvelously. Other than that I periodically dust it off and it’s just fine.
